(I'm only including them because Shep Smith and Geraldo seemed to become reports this past week...maybe hope of SOME truth getting out there).

Most of non-Internet reading America will be watching news this weekend. I'd love your help in keeping track of what they are spewing this weekend after *'s visit: lies or truth.

There are so many threads it's hard to keep track. I thought perhaps this would make it easier....keep track of them at a glance.

1. Crooks and Liars have the video of Shep Smith and Geraldo

going "off script" while Hannity tries desperately to paint lipstick on the pig. Must see viewing for even those (like me) who get physically ill at even the THOUGHT of watching FOX.

2. That is harrowing.. Anything I see from now on will be weighed

against this footage. Any talk of "how much has been raised" against "how much progress has been made" will be weighed against the fact that they have LOCKED THEM IN... without food, without water, without an exit....

4. FOX NEWS ANCHORS ARE NOT FAIR AND BALANCED.

Fox's reporters on the scene are experiencing and seeing the reality of what is happening. They can't deny it and they know the suffering and are obviously sane humans. I hope they both quit FOX when this is over. Yet their anchors like Hannity and O'Reilly are trying to spin this into Bad horrible Looters only gaggle, keeping a very low profile on the toll of human suffering and deaths. I'm in Ontario, Canada and currently have FOX NEWS as a promo, since signing up on my new satellite server. WHen the promo is over I won't be paying for this lying Bush Propaganda network. I can just go to Crooks and Liars and DU to hear about what they are doing. :)

6. Fox seems back on message

They're focusing on the "good news" and all the nice white people in Texas helping and the successes in New Orleans.

Someone must have called in Roger Ailes to repeair the cracks in the facade.

7. O'Reilly friday night...

said that he had an "investigator" working all day to find out what happened to NO and the fact that they didn't have help. The Retired Army General who was his "investigator"....

O'Reilly: " now I want to be clear about this because it's important ...what did you find out general?"

General: "the Governor didn't ask for help in time"

O'Reilly: "there you have it ladies and gentleman" The Governor did not ask for help in time"


This is the gist of the bullshit. I wish someone had a video clip....it is short and very very "spinful".I hope they rot in hell. I could not believe it. How could anyone believe this crap!

Before confronting RWers, I wanted to know what they're watching.

I was amazed at that arrogant SOB, acting like he was in charge of the rescue effort. I'm paraphrasing, but he basically said, "Just tell us what needs to be done and we'll take care of it."
