Pierce Brosnan launches broadside at Bush over storm handling.
DEAUVILLE, France (AFP) - Pierce Brosnan lobbed sharp criticism at President George W. Bush for his environmental policies and his handling of the hurricane catastrophe in the United States.

"This man called President Bush has a lot to answer for," the former James Bond actor told journalists as he presented his latest movie at a French festival of US film in this Normandy resort town.

"I don't know if this man is really taking care of America," Brosnan said Saturday.

He was responding to a question about the Bush administration's response to Hurrican Katrina, which has wreaked massive destruction and loss of life in the southern US.

1. Ok, dumb question ...
... but why the hell would anybody specifically ask him about the Bush Administration's response to anything ?

Not that I disagree with his answer, by they way ...

8. I am not sure how they got to that topic.
But I admire him for doing so. More people need to do so who are in the limelight. To risk alienating himself while promoting his new movie is courageous enough for me to respect.

2. Oh, The RWs Will Love This
they'll talk about liberal Hollywood types and how dare they comment on politics, etc. Thr fact that he was specifically asked about it, well, that's a fact, therefore expendable to the RW

But really, who cares what Brosnan has to say, even if it is what we are all thinking and even if he is yummy looking (love the accent too).

4. It's strange isn't it
that RWers don't seem to particularly like places that are considered "creative" such as New York, New Orleans, Hollywood etc, as much as liberals generally do.

13. I don't remember.
Some country music star I believe. Good point though. It's okay for bubble boy to have photo ops for political P.R., but heaven forbid...

You'll be #37 in Bernie Goldberg's next book! IIRC he became an American citizen last year so that he could vote for Kerry. Gotta love that man!

11. It would appear that he did.
At least according to that article. I know that people will say "just another Hollywood liberal, blah, blah, blah" but he IS taking a risk of drawing focus from his new movie, which he was promoting at the time. He didn't ask the question, a reporter did, or so it seems.
