Is'nt Clinton being to nice to bushes ?
I know President Clinton is a kind person and a soulful person ! however I dont understand his additude when it comes to the bushes .Someone just told me Pres Clinton was seen with both bush sr, and jr. For the life of me I dont get it ,here are the people that where most likkley at the heart of the effort to totally destroy President Clintons place in history ,spread terrible lies about him and his family ,even accused him of murdering his life long friend who committed suicide ! I dont believe in burning bridges either ,however what about loyalty to the people who stood behind Presidnet Clinton and are now victims of this white house, the poor the middle class ,friends of his who where put in jail even with a pile of lies by the right wing .This is one time I would like Clinton to show his intelligence and name his enimies .In a interveiw with Peter Jennings, he stopped the ? about his feelings towards the people that tried to riun him by stating "You dont want to go there, believe me you do not want to go there" showing that he dooes have a deep steated distain for the rigt wing smear that set out to ruin his Presidency ,why is he playing way to nice with the family at the center of this whole plan to throw him out of office ! Why Bill why ????

3. What should he do?
Say "Fuck you, Mr. President, I won't raise money for hurricane victims".

People need to get over this.

5. Jesus Christ YES!
I agree 100%

These people need food, shelter, long-term relief beyond that for months and months to come.

Bill Clinton is supposed to act like a Republican asshole to make a few people happy for a few seconds (Bill was rude to Bush! Woo wee!) instead of shutting his mouth and getting what those desperate people need right now?

Jesus H. Christ.

9. Yes
people would sacrifice the benificence and assistance of Bill Clinton in a time of national emergency just to see him snub the Bushes. It's sick.

11. Of course.
But he's been buddying up to the Bush Family for awhile now. Remember the opening of his library? He and the Bush Family were glued at the hip.

13. That's bullshit
He had former presidents at his library's opening. It would be surprising if he didn't.

He's friendly with former Presidents? Gosh, I'm shocked. He should slap them when he sees them.

Yes, he's working with Poppy for Tsunami relief and now hurricane relief. The bastard.

The desire to sacrifice Clinton's talents for the emotional satisfaction of watching him snub the Bushes is just sick and selfish.

14. ...
"The desire to sacrifice Clinton's talents for the emotional satisfaction of watching him snub the Bushes is just sick and selfish."

Did I say this? No. I only wonder what his motivations for the friendship are. I don't see him so buddy buddy with Carter, a former president. SOME at DU have made comments that warrant your response to me, but I HAVE NOT.

I still like Clinton, and I would take him or Hillary any day over anyone else in this mis-administration. However, is it wrong of me to question his motivations? Perhaps they are 100% legit, perhaps not. That is why I'm asking.

The way some DUers are turning on others in the last few days is making me sick.

4. He was a great Prez until NAFTA - I think if we could be
privy to whatever the hell happened just prior to that we may have the answer we need - and no, I do not have any inside information on that - I am just reading between the lines.

6. Keeping his enemies close...preparing for return to White House
He's probably shmoozing them to get some advantage for Hilary when she gets into the Presidential race. Bill is a politician--and a shrewd one--so it is unlikely that he is fraternizing with the Bushes (who threatened to ruin him when he ran against Poppy) out of the goodness of his heart.
