The cowards we call Democrats.
On Thursday here and in reponse to a guest blog by Gen. Clark, I sugested that a Democrat who was well connected, had friends in high places and resources, could make "a bold move" to bring relief to NO, bypassing the *co stranglehold on the city. Such an individual organizing such a bold move could save lives, expose the *co murder machine and inspire a nation.

Seen any leaders yet?

Nah, I didn't really think it would happen. It's easier for those who do not quite agree with the *co NO response plan of MURDER to simply allow the killing of the city to take place, and then shake fingers and offer lame excuses afterword. Don't agree?

Rwanda.

The one guy I thought I could support in 2008, the guy with resources, knowledge and friends in high places, the guy I thought would have the guts and the intellect to devise a scheme to make something big happen and show that he deserved to be called a great American, is just like all the others.

The nation is cowed by a fake cowboy.

Buh-bye, America. Hello, Republican Empire of Bush.

1. There will be no Empire.
Katrina changes everything. Democrats and Republicans don't matter. The American public has gotten the message: You're on your own. Unless one of the two parties takes the side of the people, we will see a new party arise that IS on our side. The politicians both Dem and Repub will take some time to adjust to a Post-Katrina America - I suspect that the Pubs may never make the adjustment. However, the change in national psyche has begun and cannot be stopped.

6. A party can not "arise". People make a party, behind a leader.
No leaders here.

mmmmmm, matching funds, mmmmmmmm.

Damn. Got silly in my own serious thread.

I am still pissed beyond recovery. Don't know what to do about it.

18. I agree!
I think many of us have been feeling this shift for quite some time now.....well atleast since Nov. and personally it's been lonely and frustrating to see so many smart people want to jump right back on the Donkey when this past election was stolen. Without an honest voting system why bother? I beat on doors, made phone calls, went to rallys, worked at the Dem party office, had bake sales, marched, protested, you name it.........just like all of you. But look where we are, NO LEADERSHIP, ZILCH. And frankly we havent got any more time to wait around and to pour our energy into these people who stab us in the back and let us down. Our country is going down the toilet fast, and the momentum is gaining in speed.

I keep saying this......as soon as we all REALLY come to terms with the fact that WE (not Repub/Dem) are our only hope...We can really organize and get to work at taking our country back.

I'm ready!

2. in a country that bills itself as 'home of the brave', moral courage and
true leadership seems to be non-existant.

15. 'High Noon' with Gary Cooper!
that show summarises the USA right now....i recall the look of dread on the Marshal's face as he prepared himself to meet the vengeful gang all alone, and the town people justifying their inaction to each other....the thing is, bush is like peewee herman in terms of gravitas. compare bush to joe stalin, or to hitler, or even to saddam: why in god's name are the democrats that afraid of a pun klike bush?
oh oh...someone's knocking at the door! brb

10. It's murder, nothing less.
Dems are complicit. Not completely, but certainly partially. By not reacting in an extreme fashion to the systematic murder of American citizens by the Administration, they are complicit.

Shoving your head in the sand only helps them. Don't help the murdering repukes.

4. Mayhor of Chicago offered all kinds of help. * turned him down.
There are lots of people with food and water who aren't allowed to help. This is just unbelieveable.

"A visibly angry Mayor Daley said the city had offered emergency, medical and technical help to the federal government as early as Sunday to assist people in the areas stricken by Hurricane Katrina, but as of Friday, the only things the feds said they wanted was a single tank truck."

8. Yes, we know.
The nornal systems will not work. *co has control of the normal systems, and it is plain to all what he is doing with them. MURDER is the point.

What is required now is an extraordinary response. Perhaps you have read of such in history books.

FloridaPat, we all could sure use a hero right about now.
