How much will FEMA pay to rebuild? I do not have flood insurance and I do not know how much they will pay. (My mortgage company has flood ins on me according to my paperwork but I can not get in touch with them to find out.)
Thanks. Tried looking these things up but its hard to do while on the phone.

1. It depends on who knows what. I know people that we paid only |
|
to fix their home. Some were paid full price for the home - after a year. Some were paid peanuts.

2. I don't think there are any "guarantees" from FEMA. I was in Ivan. |
|
The FEMA website said they "may" reimburse for insurance deductible. I applied. They didn't. Operative word was "may". The best they could offer was a "low" interest loan. I didn't need to take on any debt. As far as I am concerned, FEMA was useless. Sorry.

3. Oh yeah...IMPORTANT!!! Do register. |
|
Call FEMA and register anyway. They'll do a questionaire on the phone. You'll be given a specific case number. You must have this first to get anything out of them.
