If he blames the Republical leandership for the budget deficit or if hae come out ans says the war is a disater and based on lies. He is running for President and looking to cut McCain off at the knees from a fundraising perspective,

I think he is running.


My only puzzlement is the HRC praise....She is practically presumptive at this point but the sound bites would tend to haunt him.

1. Typical hogwash. Newt will never change.

He's just saying what he thinks people want to hear and exploiting the opportunity. If he were to be elected to any office he would be just the same as those he is criticizing or worse.


Remember his idea of "help" was to shut down the whole government for days.

Newt is Newt...No question....but my suspicion is that he may actually be concerned about the NEO-cons and he was always the budget hawk.

I think he might actually appeal to party moderates and would really mix things up on the GOP side in 2008.

What I do not know if that is good or bad for our run for the WH.

Nixon was an insidiously evil crook, but he still towers in stature over Gingrich. Not only intellectually, policy-wise, and rhetorically, but also electorally. Nixon was a senator from California. Meaning he was elected by one of the largest states in the union. He was Vice President for eight years of the popular President Ike, meaning he was elected by the entire country twice.

Gingrich, the buffoon of bombast, was elected from a mere district in Georgia. He is nationally known as a former Speaker of the House, but it is a legacy of infamy - not only for his extreme and divisive rhetoric but for his humiliating defeat at the hands of Clinton. Nope, Gingrich is free to try, but he has about the same chance of being elected President as I do. The odds are close to 1 in googleplex. By all means, Newt, knock yourself out.
