Thursday night it was $2.89 for regular. I drove past again last night, and it had jumped to $3.89 for regular!
In my immediate area (about 6 block stretch on the same road) there's a Coastal, Hess, BP, Sunoco and Getty. Immediately after the hurricane they were all between $2.49 (Hess) and $2.79 (Sunoco)... the others were all about $2.69). By Tuesday or Wednesday, Sunoco was the CHEAPEST at $2.89 and all the rest were $3.25 (Sunoco is ALWAYS 5 to 10 cents more expensive then any of these other stations). Last night Sunoco jumped up A DOLLAR overnight to $3.89, Hess is at $3.49, and all the others are at $3.69.
Until the hurricane, all of these stations were in a range of a few cents except for Sunoco which was always 5 to 10 cents more expensive.
THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS NOT GOUGING!
I've been trying to call the complaint dept. at the PA attorney general's office, and the line's been continually busy (but I'm still trying). They have an online complaint form, but I'm not filling it out because I won't put all the personal information they require online.
