I filed a claim the day after the hurricane. FEMA will not do anything for me until after my insurance company does. Well they have not sent an adjuster to my home yet. I called and they can not give me a date or time. I even asked if it would be within 7 days and they said they do not know. I asked if they had any emergency assistance and the idiot said not at this time but that may change later. WHAT THE HELL! What do they consider an emergency!

This will be my last dealing with these worthless bastards.

reprehensor was talking to a guy at work who said there are folks in Florida who got caught in that cycle during the big one there last year.

FEMA said go through their insurance, and insurance said go through FEMA. There are still people living there with tarps for rooves a year later.

These are greedy corporate pigs we're talking about here and I'm sure they absolutely hate it when something happens and large amounts of people file claims. That means they actually have to shell out some of the millions they take in. Good luck with them, and look into getting a new company (though they are all the same) once you're back on your feet.

I'm very happy to see you're okay. Someone mentioned a day or two ago that you had not been heard from, so it's good to see you still have your life if nothing else. Hang in there. We're here for you. :hug:
