"This is a war zone we are working on now."

:wow:

Michael Brown of FEMA on C-SPAN just said this. Is the federal government at war with the hurricane victims? What shit is this. I know some of the victims are not on their best behavior, but for God's sake this is an area that a catastrophe happened, not a "war zone".

Bush/Cheney and their cronies just gotta go.

1. It looks pretty calm today....
did they think that the few nuts that were running around with AK's would take on the Guard??

They dropped their guns and blended back in. They are trying to use the "lawless" excuse to cover for their incompetence

3. ZERO reports of "armed marauders" from anyone on the ground.
The "looting" and "armed thugs" and so on is a blatant lie.

4. It looks like the media is trying to rescue Bush's "compassionate" image!
All day yesterday, and again today, I'm seeing the images on TV of Bush hugging and kissing the unfortunate young women, who I can't but think were specially chosen to present to him for effect: depicting him as the "father figure."...No matter how many times they show clips of when he first arrived in the disaster zone and made his little speech, they manage to delete the part of his statement where he said..."Out of the rubbles of Trent Lott's house -- he's lost his entire house -- there's going to be a fantastic house. And I'm looking forward to sitting on the porch."....Hmmmmm...I wonder why?....Could it be because it shows him up as the callous, insensitive elitist he is?..... :puke:
