I fear the MSM will become a lapdog again
As things nominally improve in NO. As the victims are finally saved and we turn to rebuilding, I fear the MSM will turn from stories of the incompetence that led to this disaster to the "Brave Heroes of the Relief Effort."
They will show how the aid workers and military are doing a noble job. They will turn to administration shills and let them blather on about how our Great Leader turned things around. And by the elections next year, this will be the story about how GWB saved this country again, just as he did after 9/11.
Already I see lots of positive reports on the news channels about the Nat Guard in NO.
I hope I am wrong, I fear I am not.

1. I agree with you.
The MSM is already setting it up to that GWB looks like a hero even though most of the nation would like to punch him for his response to this tragedy.

I say: We drop him in the middle of it all himself with no security and see how welcoming some of those survivors are to his rhetoric.

2. From what I've seen today
you are so correct. The MSM has rolled over and is waiting for it's belly rub.

3. I'm disappointed in the lack of response to this thread
I'll post it in a week or so when the news is filled with tales of our wonderful government's relief efforts and how we must stand behind our Great Leader in this time of tragedy.

4. After seeing Geraldo's overnight transformation from
emotional human being to "Conquering Hero", I share your fear.
