that Katrina was heading our way

LSU announced Fri. before the hurricane that classes were cancelled for Mon. and Tues. I found a weather-geek website and followed it closely from Fri. afternoon on. Believe me, many of the bloggers (some of whom are meteorologists) were saying that this scenario was more than likely.

Early Friday, Katrina was Cat 4. NO was projected as being in the crosshairs by 5 pm the same day.

4. Weather Channel junkie here - verifying as well.
They showed the projected path and intensity long before it made landfall.

Also went into extensive info about levies, danger to NO, etc.

What? do they think we're that stupid???

6. Bill Maher said last night that Bush still thinks the jury is out on
weather forcasting.

So why should they track the storm?
