"Try the Salvation Army" -- anyone have the video??
Did anyone Tivo Bush's photo-op with those two women yesterday. They said "We need clothes. We need clothes." and Bush told them to go try the Salvation Army.

1. "You know, I got these pants at Brooks Brothers. Have you tried there?"

I think that it was up on Crooks and Liars but not sure. I know I saw it somewhere.

2. Remeber the response: the salvation army doesn't exist anymore
because, oh yeah, there was a HURRICANE in BILOXI

3. I hope someone finds it. He has almost never been so inane
and the women looked way too clean. I couldn't understand why they needed clothes . . . after days in a disaster area, I would need food and water.

Now it looks like it was all staged, but even then they didn't get the script right because * kept telling them to go to the Salvation Army and the man said, "It isn't there."

Doh! . . . .

4. No I think they were "real" but Bush took advantage of them
They probably told them he was coming to help. Of course if you're in that situation and you're told the president is coming to personally help...what are you gonna say?

But Bush used them for a photo-op, which makes him even more detestable.

8. There is another thread that reports they were not from the area
In an interview with Aaron Brown, they said they were from another town 17 miles away.

It was a set up photo op . . .

5. I don't think bush could wrap
his pea brain around the fact that the Salvation Army store had been washed away. He told the girls at least twice and maybe three times to go to the Salvation Army while an aide kept telling him that it didn't exist any more.

6. He kept saying "We'll get you food and water."
And they kept telling him, "No, we need CLOTHES!" And he just kept going, "You need food and water."

7. Is Walmart accepting Salvation Army vouchers yet?
The Black Congressional Caucus said yesterday that Walmart wouldn't accept these vouchers, issued by FEMA, even though they are as good as money in the bank.

It's a pity, because in many US towns, Walmart is the only store available to find goods.
