When I expressed to my RW mother how bad it is there and blame the government's pathetic response, she says 'we shouldn't talk politics'.

We've got innocents and our troops dying in Iraq, and now people are dying in the gulf coast.

To me this isn't politics. These are human beings who are dying. What's so fucking political about that?
