Guess whose really running this disaster
Good ol' Rummie himself.

The Pentagon took control of the response on Wednesday, which in and of itself amounts to a military coup but that's an issue for another day.

Right now Rumsfeld is running this operation about as badly as he runs Iraq. If Rummie stays in charge New Orleans will soon be Baghdad West. We can not allow this to happen. It's time for Rummie to retire.

2. Hoping to get recruits, perhaps?
And mark my words. Since the aid started coming in a few days after, they'll try to spin it as his success.

6. That will be Rummie's excuse
FEMA Failed so we had no choice. FEMA failed because there was no National Guard. FEMA failed because they wanted FEMA to fail.

5. I reported this on Wednesday
because I didn't like the implications of it because I thought that the Pentagon should be in a support role instead of in lead command.
Then the whole thing just went down the memory hole.

17. Now we see why Iraq is so FUBAR'ed
The FEMA contractors are only interested in the $$$$$$

They wear their pristine khakis and figure out how to do the least amount possible, charge the most $$$$ possible, and human beings are no where to be factored in their equations.

The world will NEVER forget this. I will NEVER forget this, and I thought I was outraged before.

They are not even trying to hide their racism, their disdain of the poor, nor are they failing to show us how the world will soon look if they have their way.

ANYONE who apologizes for this holocaust is a traitor to this nation. Rumsfield is the Traitor Supreme.

I was past hating these people.

I hate them more than ever now.

20. "In the end, it will be successful," Rumsfeld said.
This is the same man who knew that two passenger jets had flown into the WTC and said there wasn't anything he could do about it and continued with his meeting. We are fungible too.

BTW: What a great word.
