While many hotels along the I-10 corridor have posted “no vacancy” signs in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Galveston Island still has space available in a wide range of sizes and prices. As Galveston Island realizes this is a difficult time for everyone, our hospitality industry is offering special discounts for our visitors from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. For example, The Grand Opera House is offering complimentary tickets to all Tuna Christmas performances this weekend, plus several other attractions are offering half price tickets for Katrina victims. Our hearts go out to our neighbors to the east.
