I just got back from my local mega-type market, wearing my
gray DU T. I live in western Washington state, which is generally a bastion of Dems. However, the burg I live in is a bit on the blue collar/common man maybe even rednecky environ. I went to the butcher counter and as the female butcher finished wrapping my order she flat out asked "so what do you think of the President and what's happened in New Orleans?" I kept it very succinct and said the entire affair is a national disgrace and * has no business even masquerading as a leader. I then said don't get me started. Obviously I am not a * fan. In fact, I do not believe he was legitimately elected either time." She looked at me and said she saw the Democratic on my shirt and figured that might be my reaction. She then said that she and her husband have been horrified about N'awlins and that somebody needs to do something about *, for the good of the country.

And no Agent Mike, she was not threatening *, so no need to give her the "federal" treatment. This was just a regular, white, working woman who is very, very unhappy with what is going on in this country.

I believe bushco* is doing everything it can to stem the leaks in the dam, but as with everything else they've attempted, they're fucking up miserably. I also believe that the mainstream media, also known as the p.r. arm of the rethuglican party,is doing everything they can to draw attention way from just how unpopular and despised * and bushco* are. The sight of the poor souls begging for help to survive and then watching bushco's* reaction to the tragedy was the wakeup call for a hell of alot of people. This is beyond the tipping point. The majority of Americans now know that placing their faith and trust in bushco* was not only a BAD IDEA, it was a fatal mistake.

1. Corporations do not a trustworthy, responsible, legitimate
government make. Call it for what it is. You don't have this sort of problem in many other "less fortunate" nations, now do you... agent Mike, get a real job... come home tired and dirty and have respect for yourself.

2. They didn't count on the images being played out on American TVs
almost 24/7. Guess they thought their PR news firms would play along ala Iraq. That's what they get for thinking.

7. I think you've made one of the most important observations of all.
There is no way bushco* could just sweep the clusterfuck known as Katrina under the sand. It wasn't 5,000 miles away. Anderson Cooper was not "embedded" with anyone. The p.r. machine couldn't prevent the video proof of bushco* incompetence.

3. That somebody is us. Congressional Democrats are powerless and afraid.
All of us me, you, the butcher and anyone else who gives a damn have to go to Washington D.C. and get this done. I mean by that to persuade with our presence the Congress, addressed as one body without regard to party, to expedite and complete Bush's removal by impeachment and summary trial. The man is plainly unfit and we don't need a long discussion about why--we've all seen why.

People are starting to talk in angry and disgusted tones everywhere--and it's high time--but what they don't realize yet is nothing will done unless WE do it. We've always had this power and we've always had this right. It's the same right Americans exercized in founding this country in the first place.

5. The battleground is 2006. We the people should let "our" representatives
in Congress know that the highest order of business is to remove bushco* and to begin repairing the damage they have caused. ANY AND ALL congresspersons who are not willing to go on public record that they will support impeachment should either not be returned to office or allowed to take office to begin with. This is the line in the sand. That should be the opposition message loud and clear. Fuck party loyalty. It's time for loyalty to the country. You really are with us or against us. Those that are with us, we do everything we can to send them to Washington to begin the legal impeachment process. Those that are allied with bushco*, we defeat soundly.

kkkarl and the machine will do everything they can to obscure the core issue and move the spotlight elsewhere. There are, and will continue to be, liars first and foremost. But we cannot waiver. We can't let the focus of the political discussion stray to gay marriage or taxes or any other smokescreen diversions. We must make 2006 a referendum on the * pResidency and their collaborators in Congress.
We must force EVERY Congressperson--ON RECORD--to put up or step aside.

6. fatal, Indeed
Too many have died under this administration.

And they appear to have just begun.

We, the People, are not the danger, Agent Mike. We would feed and clothe your children if you were poor and hungry.

** would not. Come on over from the dark side. :hi: We won't let you go hungry.
