People need to stop OBLIGING the Bush's fucking photo ops.
Obviously children and people in need you can not hold it against them if they jump through the hoops to get food and water but everyone else, we need to make it perfectly clear: Bush rules through the framing of his pre-fabricated photo ops and so by obliging his photo ops you are part of the problem, you are enabling his reign of incompetence and terror to continue.

1. Can you imagine...
Tons of photographers standing in front of the smirking chimp... with cameras held at their sides. That would be a great protest.

3. Not necessarily
Being there may have provided at least some emotional comfort. Although it really was only a photo-op, a symbolic gesture, as opposed to something with substance like ordering the dropping of MREs to feed victims until ground troops can get through the rubble, I give him a little credit just for emotional comfort it may have provided.

Ultimately, it doesn't detract from the federal government's slow response. That criticism still stands, and I don't believe the two are mutually exclusive.

4. one of these days
one of the people at these photo ops is going to tell Bush some home truths, and we'll watch as he explodes and then disintegrates.
