specifically to assist the families that have taken in some of those that have been displaced by katrina? I heard just a blip on my car radio..was listening to a local black music station...so i did not get the source. anyone know something about this?

Hurricane Katrina Relief: On Tuesday, September 6, St. Pete Food Not Bombs, St. Pete for Peace, St. Pete Critical Resistance, and The Refuge will be taking a truck load of water and supplies to meet up with other Food Not Bombs chapters who have set up a field kitchen near New Orleans to provide assistance to the storm victims. 5. probably several ways to hunt down and give direct

someone said they called hotels near NO to see if any families staying and they paid for a week of stay

another is to see if at moveon.org hurricanehousing if there is a way to post that you are willing to give clothes or whatever to someone who is taken in by others

another way is to find out if locally someone has taken in a family and you can help with getting them clothes, supplies to start over

or maybe suggest to moveon that they have a additional board where there is the offer to help with those who take in others

I don't see the one Mr. Cummings was talking about, part of the addy said black and I believe it was an .org addy.
