Just announced on WWL-TV live feed ( http://www.wwltv.com ) that it's down to 300 people as of this moment, expected to be evacuated soon...

4. damn right...they say still thousands at the convention center...

there was a reporter on the scene they had some ample water and food, but people were still dying there and reporter only saw ONE bus on the scene...some national guards keeping things in 'order'...

5. I'm having a definite disconnect here

When Bush started his press conference, they said that helicopters, buses, etc were evacuating 50 people every 5 min.
Last night there was only supposed to be 2000 people left.
Those people should have been out of there in 3-4 hours TOPS.
Why are people still left? Did the helicopters leave after the press conference?:shrug:
