I don't believe it! They're drinking the Kool Aid!
I just had a customer talk with me about the disaster in New Orleans. After bitching about conditions down there, and how screwed up the relief efforts have been, she actually said this:

"You can't blame Bush. It's too much for one man."

Then a few seconds later:

"Clinton really screwed things up down there."

WTF?!? Looks like they ARE drinking the Kool-Aid, folks. We have to work even harder to get our message out: CLINTON WAS WORKING ON THE PROBLEM, BUT BUSH WANTED THE MONEY ELSEWHERE!

about it. It does seem attractive though.

I've heard that they do a pretty good job of educating their children too, even in Science.

I do know now that they have a first-rate hurricane disaster preparatory and response process in place. And if it's some place mainstream US denegrates, it couldn't be all bad.

We *just* got a flyer on our door of a special service at the nearest Baptist church tonight to pray for Bush*----not the survivors, but for him "in his hour of need and to make the Lord stop the unfair criticism."

this is one of those 1000s of people mega churches so lots will be praying tonight for him, the *real* victim of the hurricane I guess.

My husband is working himself up into a stroke over this one!

40. You have a very sick view of the world...
...if you really think that one-third of the population would really stand for such an appalling act. I think the true number is closer to 20%.

And even if he was caught on videotape doing such a thing, they'd be saying that this was a classic case of video editing. Even if it was live television.

These people cannot put two and two together and see that the answer is four, but they'll do all kinds of mental gymnastics to convince themselves that 2+2=5 because that's what the Party wants them to believe.

20. Agree.
They haven't started spinning this yet at top speed.

By the time they're done, the following will need to accept full blame:

1) The mayor of New Orleans (foul mouthed and uppity to our prez)

2) Environmentalists for blocking the creation of new refineries (already started this one).

3) Most of the Louisiana politicans were Democrats, they need to take the blame. (already started)

4) The city of New Orleans for ever building on below sea level land. (already started).

So you see, none of this has anything to do with the prez. Give it a few weeks, the sheeple will once again gulp down the 32oz Kool Aid.

she did what was needed and it was Washington that failed, then they tried to put it on the NO Police and that has failed, they tried to blame the people of NO themselves and now this latest, lamest attempt. There are documents showing it was bush that cut the funding to the Army of Engineers and to the Plan to strengthen the levees. They will continue to fail on this one too.

Look, Bush didn't cause the tragedy (although he has to surely take a lot of the heat for the shitty response), but how is this the fault of Bill Clinton? What did he do, create the hurricane with the Cobra-brand Weather Dominator? Give me a break.

28. It's only "too much for a man" when that one man has no leadership
skills, no real discernible intelligence, no common sense, no sincerity, no genuine empathy, non-existent oratory skills, no motivation, is indecisive and delusionary, too lazy to accept responsibility for anything, has a lack of maturity, and no vision.

Yeah, I guess it is "too much" for this "man", and his frighteningly tenuous grip on reality.

Abraham Lincoln led this country through a Civil War. Woodrow Wilson led us through World War I. FDR led us through a Great Depresssion and World War II. Harry Truman led us through the Korean War. Dwight Eisenhower sent federal troops to Little Rock during school desegregation in that city. JFK led through the Cuban Missile Crisis. These men were LEADERS. The American people looked to them in trying times.

Now, we have a blithering idiot at the helm whose only skills are passing the buck, deflecting blame, and injecting tragedy and misery into everything he's put his incompetent hand to. Most importantly, he can't LEAD. He wants the perks that come with the job, with none of the inherent headaches. Why is he THERE?

You might want to let your customer know that Bill Clinton hasn't been President since January 20, 2001. When Junior took the helm at noon on that particular day, he also took responsibility for whatever crises, successes and screw-ups occur here from that day on. It's all about ACCOUNTABILITY. If he doesn't want to lead this country and accept that accountability, it's time to put somebody else in who DOES want it, and has all of the above-stated qualities the current occupant sorely lacks.

To paraphrase an old saying my grandparents used, these people have more excuses for that "moran" than Carter has liver pills.

Every bit of incompetence, ineptitude and stupidity that resulted in this horrific tragedy has been preserved on videotape, microfiche and hard drives by every single media outlet domestically and internationally for posterity and endless replay/reprint.

The damage has literally been done.
