FEMA chief was fired from his last job, working for a horse group
Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 07:32 AM by Onlooker
This article from the Boston Herald (a tabloid) shows the person in charge of the FEMA NO operation was nothing more but a political hack who got fired from his previous job.

The federal official in charge of the bungled New Orleans rescue was fired from his last private-sector job overseeing horse shows.

And before joining the Federal Emergency Management Agency as a deputy director in 2001, GOP activist Mike Brown had no significant experience that would have qualified him for the position.

The Oklahoman got the job through an old college friend who at the time was heading up FEMA.

The agency, run by Brown since 2003, is now at the center of a growing fury over the handling of the New Orleans disaster.

1. They are setting up Brown to take the blame.
The Herald is an unswerving apologist for BushCo.
This is significant. The Herald hates Mittens Romney
for being too liberal. Citing him to bash a Bushie
is major.

But the article focuses on Mike Brown's failings
as a manager. It only mentions the cronyism that
got him the job in passing. It completely lets
his bosses Chertoff and Bush get away unscathed.

2. Are they even going to fire Brown? Even one guy, over this?
