I just read a seriously long and intractable freep post. It was pulled almost immediately but, a buddy PMed me the text.

It was one of the more impressive freep rants I have ever seen posted here. The gist of it was that Bush can not be blamed for Katrina. The usual blame the local authorities that asked, begged and pleaded for federal help. Also mixed in was a touch of racist, and classist crap about poor black people not getting out (also not Bush's fault). He argued that waiting for government handouts all these years has made them too dependent on the feds, etc.

It was enlightening. Not that I didn't understand how distorted these people's perspective is. Just the reminder that this is all about WORLDVIEW.

It reminds you that were are talking about fundamentally different worldviews. Worldviews are not changed by discussions on the internet. They only change in times of extreme distress of cognitive dissonance.

We will never talk Bushies into hating bush any more than they could ever talk me into loving him. It just is.

And that my friend is why neocons and fundies must be removed, wiped out, and marginalized! They will never stop fighting us. Just like Saddam's sons, we just have to destroy their fucked up ideology in this country and turn it back over to thinking Americans. Maybe they can undo some of the damage.

Anyone that has not figured that out, does not get the very concept of a culture war. It is winner takes all ball game. Just look at us now. The winners took all.

I want this shit back and will kick them (and the dem do nothings) in the nuts as long as it takes to put these repug assholes in a small dark box and throw the thing overboard.

To paraphrase that neocon fuck Grover Norquist, "They have to be starved until they are small enough to drown in a bathtub!"

They can not be reasoned with. They must simply be beaten down and marginalized! Take no more prisoners. Pull no more punches. And for God sake stop worrying that fighting them may make us look bad or like we are playing politics.

In this day and age, politics is a matter of life and death. Play to win!

2. I agree with you, their ideology can't be changed. They're screwed.

So forget about any of that, and put full attention on kicking these bastards down at every opportunity including kicking democrats into action. It makes perfect sense, and its why Howard Dean succeeded. Everyone needs to adopt it and adopt it immediately.

There is no exscuse, the failure is on all their hands. And at the same time ensure and guarantee fair elections by forcing through new laws and tossing the machines.

Two parties will emerge from this, as far as I am concerned....the genocide/enabler party and the do-something party. The former will be my enemy. The later will be my new party. The CBC is at the core of the do-something party. Who else will join them? Who among Mr. and Ms. U.S. citizen will join what party?
