There is no urgent reason to fill these seats at this time. We MUST leave them open until we cut this cancerous tumor out of Washington.

2. Roberts as Chief Justice? This was mentioned this morning ... |

... on MSNBC or CNN (don't remember which I had on) as a possible "solution" - with O'Connor staying on until a second person can be confirmed.

3. Or at least until we get the Senate back. |
|
I'd advocate that we filibuster and force the GOP scoundrels to go nuclear. There was a poll last week showing that one of the chief complaints that Americans have about the Democrats is that they aren't acting like an actual opposition party against the Chimp. Now that this Katrina catastrophe has occurred, I can only guess that the Dems' position with the public has improved.
So force the nuclear option, and stop everything and anything from getting to the pResident's desk. We'll shut the damn Senate down until January 2007.

4. I really think it's time to shut down the Senate if necessary |
|
If Rhenquist's court hadn't appointed this little weasel we wouldn't be in the mess we're in. I think the Democrats need to put their collective foot down and TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK.
I haven't been in favor of this option until now but I'm so angry at this point I'm convinced this is the right thing to do.

5. I used to be scared of the nuclear option being triggered. |
|
Now I dare them to do it. Fear has transitioned to anger.
