Poll question: In 3 weeks when the new television season begins,
people will forget about NO/Katrina. (Except of course the victims, whose lives have been changed irrevocably forever. ) So there is little hope that the sheeple will remember how incompetent & heartless boosh acted & how the policies of the repubs were instrumental in contributing to the scope of this disaster.

1. the aftermath of the hurricane will have a big impact
on a large section (mostly red states) of the country. So Katrina and what happened will remain fresh on their minds. And if Bush continues to ignore and neglect the survivors (which I predict he will), this neglect will be immediately known by those folks who are giving help and aid to the victims.

2. I really believe
that the Repukes have stepped on their dicks this time. Time will tell, but I think they're finished.

3. In 3 weeks gas prices will be even higher
The storm knocked out refineries and there will be shortages for quite a while to come. Gasoline, natural gas and heating oil prices will all continue to increase.

Coffee and sugar prices will have gone up and will not come down thanks to import disruption.

Farmers will be suffering due to disruption in export of grain and other commodities.

In three weeks there will still be people dying due to cholera, exposure to toxic chemicals and stress.

The body counts will still be on everyone's minds when the financial loss figures come out, and they will be staggering.

In three weeks there will still be plenty going on to keep this tragedy on people's minds.

4. You hit it - the BODY COUNT.
When people hear that the count is over 10000, it's curtains for the Chimp. Bedtime for Bonzo.
