Rename "West Wing" to "Right Wing" and avoid.
The power to affect broadcaster's content has not been effectively used by the left, The right jumps all over liberal content.

Witness the power of one man's comments in bringing down a powerful organization.

Donovan McNabb single handedly brought down Rush by speaking clearly and straight forwardly about racism.

McNabb's familiarity with racism allowed for a cool head under fire which made him look even more of a leader.

Rush by comparison has shown that his back water mentality doesn't play in the big city.

I would imagine that the new revised "West Wing" will soon have Sports team owners giving donations to the president and claiming "they would give more but their black quarterback is hurting team performance and keeping revenue down but because of the liberal press they play them anyway."

1. I think it makes them a little more credible
to have done that show. It wasn't a universal endorsement of high values in repubs. It's make believe. I wish is was that way but I know better. So do they and that's WHY Josh made the assumptions that he did.

There will be plenty of repub double dealing to look forward to on that show.

2. The West Wing is a holding of
the General Electric network (NBC)......therefore all hope is lost for the creative content shown previously.

Added of course, is a complete turnover of creative writing and production staff.

Do we dare hope that the esteemed Martin Sheen will not put up with a dramatic shift to a conserative tone?

Stay tuned..............?

4. John Wells is a writer with a Liberial bend.
Think of ER, Kerry Weaver a Lesbian in a relationship and trying to have a child. Carter's full name is John Truman Carter from a family of rich Democrats and became a drug addict who recovered through treatment. He make George Clooney a star, be making a drinken womanizing, irresponsible childrens doctor sexy and loveable.
They are bringing a new character played by an British Sihk, how many
writters in American tv have an Indian character?
In fact the desk clark who is a Conservative Republican is a portrayed as an intolerent, unpopular, judgemental idiot. The Repub viewers may think he is a hero but we don't.
On The West Wing they have shown both fair and corrupt Republicans before. I like the fact that they haven't stearotyped all the Repubs as evil and corrupt but have put in characters like Steve Onterio that
do represent the dangerous side of the party.
In a scene between Ainsley and Sam, it showed how pre-concieved ideas about someones politics can stop you from hearing a good arguement.

If CJ who work for Emily's list, starts to preach Pro-Life arguements
and Toby stops fighting against school prayer then worry about the right wing.
They had right wing consultants before, they have always had consultants from both sides to balance the arguements and get them right.

3. I'm not worried...
As long as Martin Sheen is on that show, there will be a definite liberal tilt to the show, or at least good balance. Besides there are a few Pugs left that might still do the ethical thing on occasion... Reference some of them speaking out against Bush on the current scandal, the need for independent council and IraQ-- Also Jim Jeffords....

I think it will make the show more real to show some conflict/complexity in the issues.
