Question: Did Bill Clinton show up at WTC before Bush ?
Seems I recall that Clinton went to the scene and then Bush showed up ? Maybe my memory is failing me? But Bush, it seemed to me, showed up in NYC because other people were having to speak to the people and lead them in a time of need. Then Bush came in and did his thing with the bullhorn. His cheerleading experience turned out to help him somewhat, it seemed to me. He never said anything profound or thought-provoking or even sympathetic to the victims. He spoke of revenge. "...and those that knocked down these building will hear from all of us..." or something along those lines. But, was Clinton there before Bush??

4. Yes. He and Hilary and Chelsea were on the docks with people streaming
in from the city. That day.

Yeah, Mr. Bullhorn...another staged Photo Op.
S**t.

5. Yes and Clinton spoke with the people
He didn't just put on a hat for a staged photo shoot.

If only Clinton was President (or Gore or Kerry), we would have seen real leadership.

14. If Clinton or Gore or Kerry were president at the time
9/11 wouldn't have happened. They would have done something beforehand to prevent it.

6. Reports were that Clinton "was everywhere"
Clinton walked all around, talking to survivors, talking to relief workers, talking to people seeking loved ones. He was there several days before BushCo showed up for their photo ops.

7. Yes
And he made it a point to get out on the streets and talk to as many people as he could. No photo ops at all.

8. Did you all watch Sunday Morning today? It was a great look at
the NO debacle. There was not any element of pro-Bush government; in fact Barbara (commentator) reamed him from the gut up.

9. Fuck yeah he did, and people were clinging to him and asking him what to
do.

I very clearly remember him having his arm around a woman who was crying and asking him what he would do if he were president right now.

The only people Bush sees are those bussed in or set up to be seen with him.

What a punk.

10. Yes
and other famous folks went in and actually WORKED at the site for search and rescue and support of workers, without any fanfare or publicity.

11. Yes he did
I remember seeing him in the streets, hugging people, comforting them. It was no photo-op, there was a group of people trying to get to him. Beautiful moment. No "black mammy" photo-op as with Shrub.

12. Bush even dispatched a military transport for him
I initially thought that good ol' George was just showing a rare moment of classy behavior, but now I wonder. Maybe he was using Clinton to test the waters -- or soften up the crowd.

15. That's what pisses me off now about the current fiasco
Everybody keeps saying that Bush reacted fast to 911 vs now.

NO HE FUCKING DIDN'T. HE FLEW TO LOUISIANA, THEN HE FLEW TO NEBRASKA, THEN HE FLEW TO WASHINGTON AND HE DIDN'T GET TO NYC UNTIL FOUR DAYS LATER

AARRRGGGGHHHH :banghead::banghead::banghead:

18. You are correct....
I suppose if they say it enough times, people will believe it to be true. He came to NYC because he was forced to come to NYC...
