The big picture I see now -- Repubs cannot continue to exploit 9/11

Yep, even my Repub neighbor says now it looks like we are still screwed after 9/11. He said all the talk about homeland security and all that appears to have been just talk, nothing more. I was shocked he was saying this.
People fail to see this - when Americans lose faith in you, you are in trouble. Give it time, Bush has done a complete 180 in terms of 'perceived' leadership, and thats the ultimate sinker for the Repubs.
