From Midland Daily News (Michigan)
http://www.ourmidland.comDaniel Singletary, 5, of Midland, anxiously awaits the next customer at a lemonade stand set up by him and his family to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina on Friday. The Singletarys hope the money raised, which they are giving to the Salvation Army, will go to help families like Daniel's cousins, who were forced from their home in Louisiana due to high water. Daniel's mother Sandy explained the difficulty in helping her children to understand the devastation. "I was explaining to my 10-year-old that Aunt Laura's house is under water and his response was, 'Well, they can go swimming now.'" After working the stand for six hours and raising $112, Daniel said, "We probably have enough money for about all the people there."
