Why isn't EVERY flag flying at half staff?
Why no nat'l moment of silence?
Why no nat'l period of mourning?

Is anyone in the media asking these questions?

...an Executive Order. Lower all flags to half-staff for the Katrina victims and the victims of Iraq and Afghanistan.

7. I'm so glad you posted this!
I heard this question asked on some news show over the last 24 hrs.

And also I got mad today when Schumer was on tv talking about the upcoming week in the Senate, and the appointment of Roberts.
Schumer said 'we need to take some time for mourning'
BUT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT REHNQUIST!!!!!

This is the worst tragedy we have ever faced, and these people are getting NO respect. Dead people floating in the streets, and the government doesn't care.

Has the WH even asked for a moment of silence?

10. They are supposed to be at half staff
Not for the hurricane victims though. For Rehnquist. But the racists won't put theirs at half staff because they won't want anyone to think that they lowered their flag for hurricane victims. Its kind of neat actually. We get to play "spot the racist" for the next week or so.

11. they said on the news today that the WH had the flag at half staff
for Rehnquist. Not because of the tragedies going on and all the lives lost on the Gulf Coast, but for Rehnquist.
