Susan Estrich will most likely continued to be identified as a Democrat, but my guess is that she stopped being one years ago. While its true she worked for Dukasis in 1988, most recently she worked for Richard Riordan's campaign for the repukelican nomination for governor of California in the spring of 2002.
She has an op ed piece in today's LA Times decrying the Times story on Swartzengrooper as political dirty tricks. In that piece, she refers to the Times as a part of Davis's cheer leading section. I was surprised to read that description, but remembering her connection with Riordan's campaign, she hates anything that even smells of Davis. Also, in order to vote for Riordan in the 2002 primary, she would have to have registered as a repuke.

one was Clint Reilley--a local San Francisco Democratic consultant who ran for mayor last time around.

Davis was not popular with all Democrats. Honestly, if Riordan had won the nomination, I would have voted for him.

Also, it isn't a crime for a movie star to be sexist, but last time I heard, sexism wasn't a real desirable trait in a governor. It's not a crime for someone to say they admire Hitler, either, but that's not a real good trait for a governor, either. Silly me, I must have been confused to think it wasn't good for governors to grope women like pieces of meat and say Hitler was their hero. What was I thinking?

I doubt I'd have come forward about the asshole groping me, I'd have kneed him and told a few people in the biz to have him steer clear of me or I'd do it again. And there are LOTS more of them than just the six, count on that.

Her article is HOGWASH designed to get what she wants (there's got to be money or power in it for her somewhere) without showing any principles. Yep, she's a Republican all right.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has become the poster child for the newest form of trash politics: a political system so corrupt and undemocratic that a compulsive sexual deviant was anointed the de facto nominee by California GOP bosses in a smoke-free backroom.

How much did Schwarzenegger's campaign team know about his egregious sexual behavior? Did they intentionally attempt to conceal this pattern of sexual harassment from voters? Did leaders of the California Republican Party look the other way in their desperation to win back the governorship?

In an era in which a candidate's first order of business is to hire an opposition research specialist to investigate his own past, it's hard to imagine that this was overlooked.

What Schwarzenegger's boosters in the GOP establishment fail to understand is that this is not about an old extramarital affair or someone's sex life from years past. This is worse. This is the story of a guy who rode the elevator, groping a woman on the way up, and who is now about to get off on the top floor: the governor's office.

Simply put, Schwarzenegger is unfit to be governor.
