Is This The End for Bush and The Republicans?
Is this the final straw that will wake up average Americans to the sheer incompetance of the Bush admin.? Is this it? Will the American people finally take control away these idiots once and for all? Do the American people finally realize just how vulnerable they are under this asshole? New Orleans can happen any where in America at any time under any circumstance, a terrorist bomb or a natural disaster. Will the American people finally see the truth and vote accordingly?

Or will Gay marriage swing the 2006 elections?

1. We can only hope.
I hope this becomes the "bloody shirt" for the democrats to wave in the 2006 elections.

Need to stress the Trifecta of Shame.

Failure to protect on 9/11.
Failure in Iraq.
Failure in Response to New Orleans flooding.

3. If it isn't.....
...then I don't know what else it would take for America to abandon this bastard the same way he has abandoned America.....

4. I think Bush has tarnished the Republican's image of being a
party to represent America into better times. What can you say? After 9/11, after Iraq, after Nola, which party do you think will do a better job of leading America into better times?

5. I wish, I hope...
But I doubt it will be the end for them. They've managed to steal a couple of elections in a row. I'm afraid this is just a pothole on their road to dictatorship.

6. This is the beginning of the end
The Repukes major ace was they were the party of security.

Not only did they just fail a major test they pissed and shat all over it and what's more EVERYONE knows it, only the small margin of batshit crazy pukes who think Micheal Savage a traitor for speaking out against Bush will still support this crime family.

7. No..
They have their 42% of hardcore Bush fans that short of a nuclear disaster are going to find a way to support them. They are already trying to put the blame on local and state officials. Just read yahoo forums and the excuses the Bush bots have for their incompetent hero.

8. Don't they feel stupid defending him?
I just can't fathom why a thinking citizen would strive and strain to come up with some half-ass excuse for this president's constant failure, over and over again. Wouldn't it be easier to just acknowledge that he is a total screwup and move on?

There are worthwhile conservatives. Why not back one of them? Why this jerk?

13. Ka-ching!
It's called a "livelihood".

These MSM creeps know what side of the proverbial toast is buttered and by whom.

If they criticize Bush, they know they, and their corporate owners, will lose access to the White House. If they lose that access, they lose money (in terms of not being able to compete with other news organizations that do "play the game" and, consequently, retain their access).

Anyone who has worked for a corporation knows what I'm talking about. There's an unspoken rule that everyone adheres to if they want to stay employed and to advance: you follow and support the proclivities of the CEO and the "corporate culture" he or (rarely) she establishes. If you don't, either get used to stunted career advancement, or look for another job.

At this point, the "reality-making machine" of the MSM is still on Bush's side.

As long as he and the GOP have the MSM in their hip-pockets, they can diminish any damage caused by what most people call "real reality" (i.e., the Truth).

10. Of course this isn't the end. They can market anything, turn it all around
If you want real perspective, get your news from places beside DU as well. The echo chamber effect really deafens us sometimes.

14. On some level, they must be considering shifting away from Bush
and looking toward 2008. Bush's political capital could be completely spent after this and they know it. So we shouldn't dance too much when the shrub goes up in flames, because the people pulling the strings are probably already looking for the next figurehead. They'd love to keep us distracted dancing on Bush's political grave - so we should try to keep our eyes on the horizon (while still dancing a little!).

15. No...its business as usual. Nothing to see here
Genocide? Its their own fault for not getting in their welfare Cadillacs and getting out of town. Flooding? Um...governors fault. People murdered while living in squalor? Mayor's fault. Slow results? Landrieu's fault. Levees? Clinton's fault. See how nicely all this falls into place?

And/or watch all the lovely footage of atrocities get edited and disappear into the black hole where the truth always goes. By week's end, most of America's righteous indignation will be forgotten after a few more reality TV shows and some good old MSM spin.

My prediction is that in the sleep of the sheeple, this will amount end the end to a middle of the night trip to the potty.
