His Veepness goes fishing



Now let’s see if I’ve got this straight. Veep Dick Cheney flew into Billings on a Monday morning heading for Fort Smith and a little fishing on the Bighorn River. His plane, Air Force Two, was accompanied by a C-17 cargo jet, two Chinook helicopters and two Blackhawk helicopters. This was described as a “strictly private” fishing trip.
Apparently several Secret Service agents flew in a few days earlier to “check out and purchase several trout flies” for his Veepness. Private lodging was arranged for four Secret Service men and six ambulance personnel. Apparently no one was allowed to give an explanation for this excursion. Then we hear that he flew back Tuesday evening. All this for a one-day fishing trip?

These people like to call themselves “conservative.” Give me a break!
