NIAID funds 11 new biodefense labs
Federal health officials yesterday announced grants to build 11 new biodefense laboratories around the country, including two that will be authorized to study the most dangerous pathogens.

1. It's good that Tulane was little affected.

On the other hand, I know from being briefed about UCLA's labs that they're quite good at locking down any biological, chemical, or radiological materials.

Modern labs tend to do this automatically and quickly.
