and I pray that RL will have an epiphany and then use his pulpit for what we call "good". But he certainly isn't there today. It sounds to me like he's building a wall around his self righteousness.

I could no more feel bad for Rush's drug addiction than I could for Goebbels' or Axis Sally (if they had one, I don't know if they did actually but my analogy stands), even if he isn't as violence-loving as they.

They are cut from the same cloth. They utilize the same propganda stratgies of demonization and dehumanization. They both have the same contempt for the truth and understand that to repeat a lie is to make it the truth.

No, I'm proud of the fact that there are enough democratic voices on these forums and in the public that can "heap coals of fire" on the head of Rush by acting better and more "gracious" than he ever would.

I think it is a good thing to actually LIVE BY the principles that we would like to see manifest in society, and that if we are going to accuse Rush of hatful, mean speech and call that wrong, then we should freely want to live by our own rules.

I could care less that Rush would show me no such courtesy - that is only further testiment to the myriad of way in which I am better than Rush is.

However, I don't think you have a real understanding of who and what we are dealing with here. If you think for a moment that by being nice and sympathetic to the likes of Limbaugh will gain you anything whatsoever, you are mistaken. They will see that as a sign of weakness and use it to walk right over us. The only way to deal with these people is to use their own tactics against them.
