The old tried and true method of wedging white votes.
The RNC is pulling out all the stops, using radio heads to inject race as a deciding factor on job approval. What are they really trying to do?

Jobs are so scarce that any hiring or promotions by any member of a minority can easily be leveraged into votes if the RW babble can keep people alerted to this. One black man gets promoted in a company and 100 white employees can claim, "Rush was right. This is why I won't vote democrat."

This is the oldest vote con in the book and when Rush starts down this road, all his radio clones pick up on it.

I just wish dems would educate voters as to why these false myths are in our sphere of influence.

2. W.
I loved how Bush came out against affirmative action in Michigan. Here's a guy who got crappy grades in his elite prep school, lower SAT scores than mine, but still gets into Yale as a "legacy". Then he has the nerve to condemn affirmative action in Michigan! I guess for him it's not OK for blacks to get in, but if hard-working, studious working class white students lose their slot at Yale to a lazy, dumb "legacy", well, that's just the way it is, right? Bleh.

3. I agree. If jobs are scarce, Bush wants you to blame black man and not him
Good catch.

4. I'm pretty sure minority unemployment is higher
anyone got the stats? Just bring them out and there's the proof it's Bush's fault you lost your job, no one else's.

5. It's definitely higher. In some cities, minority unemployment
is over 25%.

I just read this somewhere recently...can't remember where.

6. That's not the issue. Minority unemployment has always been higher.
That has never stopped racists from blaming minorities for white unemployment, or worse.

7. bls.gov
The latest breakdown by race, age, and sex is here. More info at the main bls page, but caveat lector.

For critiques of bls data I've liked this blog and sometimes this one too.
