How about giving the families HUD homes that are sitting empty? Help them

find jobs then give them a year to buy it if they want. Hook em up with community helpers to repair them as needed.

1. That is an ideal answer to the needs of everyone who lost their home..

apartment or living quarters. There are so many houses and buildings across this country sitting empty there is no reason why the victims of this disaster should remain homeless. Hospitals and nursing homes have been shut down and would be ideal for the sick and elderly. Why can't this nation take care of the their people?

2. I am meeting with my apart. mgt tomorrow

to see if they can donate an apartment to a family. I am hoping to get the whole apartment community to adopt a family.

5. That is great.I wonder if they would be able to use it as tax write off

for donation on their taxes. With rentals down why not offer landlords a tax break if they do it? Where I am we have many apt vacancies.

7. We have a big hospital sitting empty in St.Joseph Mo

Someone suggested just this in the paper yesterday, I know it's a long way from home, but it could be used. I've been thinking also that there must be plenty of empty houses and apartments in the region there, whats wrong with putting people in them, instead of arenas.

8. Yes and in Mpls they closed 3 or 4 schools last year. I think if they

really look around we can find plenty of places. Permanent and termporary. And heck the way global warming is going it won't be long before our winters are a thing of the past anyways.
