happened a few months before *'s second selection.
A: we would have competency in D.C.
B: we probably would not have burned 200 billion in Iraq
C: thousands of military lives would not be ripped apart
D: thousands of limbs would still be attached to their owners
E: many in the ruling class might be in the pokey by now

Oh the fantasy!
It would have been horrible horrible, just the same, but then at least we would have kept hope alive!
