An honest conservative would tell you, what happened NOLA and the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina went exactly the way it should have based on their political philosophy. In their view, only the people with wealth and power matter. Everyone else is fodder. That's why they push for tax cuts that only benefit the wealthy. Fight wars that only enrich the powerful, and push for globalization that only serve the capitalists.

They don't care about the poor, the vulnerable, and the weak. They don't even see them as human. The only reason why Bush is even responding now is because temporarily they lost control of the media and public opinion. They have to put on a show of compassion or risk waking up all Americans to their goals.

What you've witnessed in NOLA is indeed the future for all of us.
