Excellent Hurricane Fund Raising Idea from Canada (Rock Radio Station)...

My Canadian friend in Edmonton sent me this in an email over the weekend:

The majority of us here in Edmonton have been trying our best to raise relief money. Even our radio stations are really doing there best, right now one station is asking listeners to call in and pledge $97.00 with a request of a song and then people can raise the amount to $197.00 to stop the song from being played if they don't like it. This one radio station is classic rock so people are requesting Country, Pop, Classical etc. So hopefully they will raise alot of money to help in the region. As of right now they are at about $20,000.00 and this will continue until after labour day which is Monday...

The $97.00 must come from 97.XX FM I assume. I think this is a great idea that radio stations around the country should try!
