Check this out from 8/29 interview with Mike Brown (FEMA)
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/08/29/national/a074639D77.DTL&feed=rss.news

(08-29) 18:58 PDT WASHINGTON, (AP) --

Baby formula from the Agriculture Department, communications equipment and medical teams from the Defense Department and generators, water and ice from the Federal Emergency Management Agency are among the assistance ready for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Brown, in a telephone interview with The Associated Press, said the evacuation of the city and the general emergency response were working as planned in an exercise a year ago. "I was impressed with the evacuation, once it was ordered it was very smooth," he said. And with the storm moving north, Brown said he expects to see flooding in Tennessee and the Ohio Valley.

Speaking earlier Monday from Baton Rouge, just upriver from New Orleans, Brown said that his agency had "planned for this kind of disaster for many years because we've always known about New Orleans' situation." Much of the city is below sea level, making it extremely vulnerable to storm flooding.

The potential damage of such a storm striking New Orleans has long been a worry of federal agencies including the National Weather Service, FEMA and the Environmental Protection Agency, among others.

19. He's such a liar. Did you see the CNN article explictily comparing what
he said about the Convention Center with what eyewitnesses, including a CNN employee reported?

And after all these things, Bush slapped him on the back and said "Brownie, you're doin' a heck of a job!" Actually, that's true if you mean that in terms of a "hellish" job. Shows that Bush has not paid attention to ANYTHING, if he is saying that to this man at this time. That was last Friday, the day AFTER Brown claimed nobody told him about those thousands of people there and he learned about them from TV.

26. You don't understand.
Brown was doing exactly what he was hired to do. Slow down and gum up the works. Bu$h wants these people gone out of there. They tried to incite to riot by withholding food and water. Then when they did deliver food and water, it wasn't enough to go around. Still the riots did not materialize. Why do you think bu$h wanted to declare Marshal law and use the army? This "army" consisted of Iraq veterans. Think about that!

They are in the way of the new casinos and high rise hotels to go with them. Haven't you noticed that they are shipping these people all over the U.S - Thousands of miles away? How ar ethey supposed to get back?
Their homes will be declared abandoned, the land confiscated by emanate domain, thanks to the resent Supreme Court decision.

22. Mike Brown's biography at FEMA - look what's missing!
"Previously, Mr. Brown served as FEMA's Deputy Director and the agency's General Counsel. Shortly after the September 11th terrorist attacks, Mr. Brown served on the President's Consequence Management Principal's Committee, which acted as the White House's policy coordination group for the federal domestic response to the attacks. Later, the President asked him to head the Consequence Management Working Group to identify and resolve key issues regarding the federal response plan. In August 2002, President Bush appointed him to the Transition Planning Office for the new Department of Homeland Security, serving as the transition leader for the EP&R Division."
http://www.fema.gov/about/bios/brown.shtm

They left out his many years at the Arabian Horse Association where he was dismissed by the board for incompetence and where he ran the organization into the ground. Ten years missing from the resume!!!

:wtf:

24. Just like his CIC's "missing years".............
Dumbya himself has an "incomplete" biography as well. Of course, there's his TANG inconsistencies, then there's his DWI(s)that are somewhat suspect, but his cocaine arrest is the MOST conspicuous of his "inconsistencies". His erased driver's license record, his "mystery" community service sentence......the list goes on and on. Daddy covered his son's tracks as well as anyone possible could. Being the Director of the CIA has it's little perks, and if it wasn't for Daddy, Dumbya couldn't have won an election for dog catcher.

There's no substance to ANY of bush's administration. They're ALL cardboard cut-outs, failures in different degrees, but ALL failures. Yet in the bush good 'ol boy network, failure is rewarded because to them loyalty trumps success every time. As long as you're loyal and take orders without a hint of conscience intruding on their plans, you're their guy. :puke: These people are sickening.

And Bush. And the spin.

We just didn't know.
Who'da guessed those levees would fail?
Huh?

So, everyone knew. They were ready.
Mmmmm.
Then.... I'd want to ask him the rest of the damn questions (WHY?) UNDER OATH.
