"Enough Blame to Go Around"--New Administration Talking Point
If you want proof that the MSM is controlled, keep your ears open for the phrase "enough blame to go around" (the implication, of course, being that the Bush Administration need not shoulder the entire blame for NOLA). I've already heard this on a couple of non-correlated shows (one of them being ABC World News).

1. So this means that they're admitting that they own some of the blame
Is this a first?

7. I'm just snaring them with their own admission
They never admit to any wrong doing. Ever. So, you point out that they've finally admitted to something and go from there. For now, their ankle is in the trap - before it's over they're caught by their necks.

13. Bush AND Republicans are in charge
Republicans passed the budget.

Republicans (mostly) pushed through the war.

Republicans let the protective wetlands wither.

16. How about
Hey George - the flood stops here! :sarcasm:

Clearly he's not in any shape to assist, other than flying down and seeing what everyone else is doing to help.

This is a $hitstorm of major proportions and he's late on the draw, Cheney is house-hunting and Condi is shoe shopping. FEMA, well - they're out trying to buy a game plan for this whole fiasco.

Coming out of my own personal grief, I'm at a loss to comprehend the number of failures by this administration.

3. If we do nothing else, we should blast the media and demand
accountability by asking exactly WHO is in charge of this country? This is BS and I'm tired of the Republicans trying to deflect blame. They tried it all last week, and it keeps coming. They tried the "feds" line--never mentioning Bush. Bush was hit hard in columns across the country leaving his mommy and daddy to defend him today. Bush's entire staff left the country unattended with no plan to reconvene in case of emergency. Condi was buying shoes, Dick Cheney was buying an "estate" somewhere, Bush's PR people were in Greece for a wedding. That's why he couldn't respond in time. Bush and only Bush is responsible for the national security and safety of U. S. citizens.

Sorry for the rant, I was emptying my brain and will probably use it to rebut this tripe.

12. Oh, NOW they want to share.
Gee, and here I thought there wasn't enough of ANYTHING to go around, to hear them talk--not enough money, not enough jobs, not enough oil, not enough civil rights. Plenty for everyone--as long as you're one of the Elect.

Well, guess what, sunshine? This one's ALLLLLL for you. You don't have to share it with ANYONE. None of that touchy-feely "what's yours is mine" crap. Yes! That's right! You deserve it ALL! For once, it really is ALL ABOUT YOU. Do you like it? Do you love it?? Go on, be a good little Number One Leader of Everything and eat your blame alllllll up.

and may you fucking choke on it.
