So Bush Needs His MOMMY & DADDY To Talk To The Nation For Him?
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 02:53 AM by impeachdubya
How John Freakin' Wayne is that?

I'll tell you, my wife has gone down the damn rabbit hole. She's the one who rolls her eyes when I get all tinfoilhat about the media being in the GOP's corporate bag, but she just about blew a gasket a little while ago when a CNN-bot rolled her eyes and started talking about how "SOME people want to play the BLAME GAME".

Then it cut to Larry King interviewing Poppy & Bar, and sure enough, there's ol' GW going on about the "Blame Game". (One assumes that Karl Rove has been on the phone to his media toadies all day, going "Blame Game!" "Blame Game!" "Blame Game!"- someone should remind him that it also rhymes with "Plame")

But, let me get this straight. Dead bodies are floating through New Orleans, and Dubya needs mom & dad to come out to the schoolyard and set us right?

Well, nice to know in this Mad Max reality we find ourselves in, some things are consistent- just one or two days of actual journalists reporting what's really going on (and being pissed about it) before the message massagers take over and start with the full press damage control. Pathetic.

If someone's got this thing TIVO'd and can put it up on the internets, it's some astounding television.

And God, Larry King is an awful shill.

2. It's so embarrassing to have to be bailed out by your mommy and daddy.
Or it would be, if George W. was a better person.

I mean, it wasn't just his daddy. He was a former pres, whatever. But his mommy was on too.

Ooh, we better watch out, his mommy and daddy don't wike people talking about their wittle wumpeekins.

4. King is getting pathetic
he thinks this is another "America feels so good about itself - donate some $$" moments. He is lost in the real world.

Poopy looks worn out and Bar is nutty as a fruitcake.

All their masks are falling off.

6. Kitty Kelley was refused an appearance on King's show
He told her he didn't want to jeopardize his "friendship" with Poppy.

7. Yeah, this CNN-bot anchor lady was somethin' else, too.
Really, this week has been the first time I've turned on Cable News since before the election, so I don't know if she's a regular, or what..

but the way she said "blame from people unhappy about the delay in services" just made my jaw drop. A delay in services is when you get your dry cleaning on friday instead of thursday. When you leave tens of thousands of people -families with children, for Christ's sake- for four days locked in human filth with no food or water in the richest nation on Earth, that is inexcusable. And fuck yes, there needs to be some "BLAME".
