Unbelievable statement from Bush in Wisconsin....
See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction. There will be a free and peaceful Iraq. What's taking place in Iraq is the evolution of a society, to be democratic in nation -- nature, a society in which the people are better off..........

Look again at that second sentence...."Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction"......Is he really THAT stupid? What does that say about the United States?

3. Another Freudian Slip
Since the Bloodless Bushevik Coup of 2000, Amerika is no longer technically free.

Though in our day-to-day lives we are mostly free. For a little while longer.

The fish rots from the head down (lucky for the rest of us).

Though I suspect the other shoe will drop before 2025 and the Mad Reign of George P. Caligula.

5. no one calls him on it
that is why he gets away with it. That is why an inordinate number of people believe Saddam was responsible for 9-11 and that is why an inordinate amount of stupid American citizens have supported this idiot.

10. Do believe these lies (Kay report)?
The report summarized the regime's efforts this way, and I quote Dr. Kay, his report. "Iraq's WMD programs spanned more than two decades, involved thousands of people, billions of dollars and it was elaborately shielded by security and deception operations that continued even beyond the end of Operation Iraqi Freedom." That's what this man stated in his report. That's what the report said.

That's not what the report said, you asshole

11. Like his "fighting for peace" bull
We dropped thousands of freedom bombs on a nation that had attacked no one and that posed no threat to us, shock and awed people to peices, and we did it in the name of peace.

I really don't understand how repukes can support this moron and his regime. It seems to me that they'd want to rescue thier party from these thugs.

13. It almost seems that his handlers
are setting him up with an easy out when formal charges are filed. His lawers can claim that he really is a dimwitted brainless nincompoop that was led astray by evil people that kept him in the dark. ..... (later during the trial) ....Because you see, your honor, he never reads the papers and always counted on his trusted staff to fill in the void that passes for his brain. Therefore he's innocent. Surely you must see that. (The jury rolls on the floor laughing)

16. It's unbelievable on so many levels
1. It's idiotic
2. It's incoherent
3. It's, as the Administration would say, "technically accurate" (read: a LIE)

Yep, it has all the hallmarks of a classic Bushism.

24. it is an incredibly consistent statement from a neocon perspective
bush acknowledges that in his opinion the US is above international law, and follows its own manifest destiny, viz., the rules for others do not apply to the US.

"do as I say, not as I do" is the order of the day.

he has meshed the rhetoric and imagry of judeo-christian cultural icons with overt nationalism to imply that the US is a "chosen by god" nation and has a divine mission in the world.

where have i heard this before?

there is nothing more dangerous to humanity.

25. It's hard to believe, but
Bush has been told by his advisors to speak candidly, be casual, and 'impress them with your sincerity'.

Bush has taken some heat for being a 'lone cowboy', a man who shoots first and asks questions later. It's a well-known fact that Europe and the rest of the world have watched this swaggering (staggering) cowboy with revulsion and disgust.

Not so, say his advisors. I watched an interview with Cheney, and he said that the 'cowboy image' is good. His meaning was, "look at all he's been able to accomplish with his cowboy charisma". So when he talks like that, "see...", you can bet he's been told to talk like that.

Sorry, no link, I'd have to look it up.

if it isn't for our freedoms?

Maybe it's because we have a bunch of fucked up greedy bastards running the place.

27. How **cking wrong and stupid can one person be?
George will show us.

Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction.............. does anyone know exactly how many tons of nuclear warheads we have? I could have sworn nukes counted as WMD. Oh, and then there's the little matter of the bio and chem weapons that we have taken our VERY sweet time about disposing of. We still have plenty of them.

This confirms it: from the pResidents own mouth. We are not a free nation.
