Just venting about knucklehead I work with
Coworker One was discussing Kanye West's comments on NBC which, I must admit, sounded oddly disjointed despite the correctness of their message. Coworker One couldn't get over the fact that NBC aired it at all—specifically the part about "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

I mean, everybody knows it, but it's refreshing to hear it on network TV, and (astonishingly) it was Coworker One's first exposure to that kind of direct anti-Bush sentiment. (a la "I thought that everybody liked him.")

Coworker Two chimed in that Bush has more "of them" in his cabinet than any other President. I didn't have the numbers at hand to discuss that comment specifically, but I did point out that Dubya is more interested in lockstep loyalty than any diversity of thought and experience, it doesn't matter how many "of them" are in his cabinet anyway.

To that Coworker Two said "That's why I hate liberals. They always…" And she sort of trailed away.

Coworker One said "Well, I didn't want to make it political. I just thought it was funny."

1. Damn coworkers
Mine just infuriated me by laying the blame on LA's governor for not requesting federal aid earlier and said NG has 72 hrs to report so even if they were called up on Sunday they didn't have to show up until Wednesday. Oh yeah and NO has the most corrupt government anywhere and their mayor isn;t too sharp either and the NO city gov't blew the evacuation.

I'm smokin.....

8. Well, tell them that NO Mayor Ray Nagin was a Republican till he ran
for mayor, and realized he had to be a Dem. to win. He only switched parties three years ago (and, apparently, for political expediency). Keith Olbermann reported this last night.

So, tell them a REPUG in Dem. clothing is the guy they're blaming things on.

10. Doesn't matter how bad the governor and mayor were.
FEMA and the administration did nothing while New Orleans drowned. Do you want to go down in history as the one who let people die because you didn't get, or make, a phone call or received a piece of paper????

This required decisive federal leadership and management decisions and instead we got finger pointing from the feds.

More what? Zombified assholes of all shapes, sizes and colors?

LOL

"That's why I hate liberals. They always…" And she sort of trailed away."

They always...what? Know what they are talking about? Back things up with truth and facts that limpballs hasn't taught you how to refute?

7. Your co-worker thought everybody liked him?
How in the hell could he/she have arrived at that notion? I mean, nearly half the country didn't vote for him (probably more, had it not been for Diebold and vote suppression). His approval ratings are in the crapper and there have been a series of anti-Iraqi war demonstrations over the course of the few weeks before Katrina.

Where had this person been hiding?

11. Sadly, I know that answer
She's been watching Lost and American Idol and Survivor and Dancing with the Stars and Big Brother and Nip/Tuck and Desperate Housewives.

I expect that she'd argue that she doesn't have time to follow that political stuff.
