Coward to investigate himself? Don't think so....
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 10:50 AM by speedoo
"What I intend to do is lead an investigation to find out what went right and what went wrong," Bush said. "We still live in an unsettled world. We want to make sure we can respond properly if there is a WMD (weapons of mass destruction) attack or another major storm."

So let me get this straight.

For the last 4 years, this joker has supposedly been fixin' stuff, solvin' problems yada yada following 9/11.

Now we see the result of all that hard work.

And he thinks we're going to let him investigate himself?

No fucking way.

1. How in the hell can someone investigate the misdeeds of himself?
This is bullshit.

3. He did it before with 9/11. Cynthia McKinney had to do another
one to make sure it was done right.

4. What exactly are you expecting? Do you think we'll ever get a real
investigation? The kind that would implicate his incompetence? Sure thing. Just like the investigation about why we went to war in Iraq and the WMDs and the 911 commission and the torture and raping of prisoners (including children).

Don't you get it? They make their own rules and because we have no power in any level of the government, and because there is not one single Republican who will stand up and say "Enough is Enough" (as they did with Nixon) and not one single Democratic senator has had the balls to stand up and tell the truth about these monsters, we can complain all we want but it's not going too go far. I wish I was wrong about this but as you can see, the Rove Spin machine is in full swing now. They will never accept or assume responsibility for any blame here. I hope I'm wrong- and pray we can find a way out of this so that the truth can in fact come out, but I have a feeling they will wiggle their way out of this one too.

If someone can help me see this differently, I'd be very grateful! I could use a good dose of hope today...
