11. And should we call tyranny by its real name?
Walt Starr has been around here a long, long time. I've been here since 2001, and if I'm not mistaken, he was already on the scene when I arrived.

I don't always agree with him, but it's not at all cool to infer what you're inferring.

9. I am not the one who started a thread blaming America for Bush's policies
I love your art, I love your site. Good for you.

But your thread title is all about blaming everybody but Bush for his disasterous policies.

12. Most of us have your back
You're right, "we" the people have failed. "We" the registered Democrats and those on the left have worked mightily to stop the SOB at every turn, but we were outnumbered (or at least they got close enough to cheat). So we the people of the United States, when taken as a whole, have failed ourselves and the planet.

I wouldn't worry too much about the march-in-lockstep-or-suffer people. I'm a progressive, and as such, I refuse to do what I'm told, when I'm told by those who wish they were a part of the party apparatus.

Just keep on doing what you do. Your output, since I've known who you are, has already been more valuable than some folks will achieve in a lifetime.

13. Thanks Don! I Never Cease To Be Amazed At How People Distort Posts Here!
Those of us that have thrown off the shackles of party loyalty at all costs will always be attacked by those that insist that the problem is NOTHING BUT the other guy.

Oh, he is the biggest problem alright. Far from the only however.

Thanks for the note. I was starting to wonder...

14. what the hell are you ranting about?
here is your thread title:

"Our Failed Government Is A Reflection Of A Failed America! We Did It!"

I have long noticed a trend at DU to deflect blame from Bush to others.

"Bush is too stupid! He is not to blame!"
"Bush is not in charge! it is Cheney's fault!"
"Bush just does what Rove tells him!"
"Bush is not to blame, it is the Democrats!"
"Bush is not to blame it is the voters"
etc etc ad infinitum

On a day when the Rove organization is working overtime to promote "Now Is Not The Time To Blame etc" while at the same time seeking to blame ANYBODY BUT BUSH I am especially sensitive when DU'er want to post topics that seem to BLAME ANYBODY FOR BUSH'S POLICIES but THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION.

Bottom line is that Bush is responsible for Bush's policies and the consequences those policies have. Did others contribute? Sure! But Bush is responsible for his actions and ultimately so.

4. Don't forget norquist
has weekly meetings 2 refute or standardize the neo-kon response; 2 formulate & initiate the next set of talking points. They must have been in overdrive w/ s skeletal crew last week w/ the monumental chimp inaction plus DC on 'vacation'
