into the response to the Katrina disaster.

:wtf:

WASHINGTON - Buffeted by criticism over the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, President Bush said Tuesday he will oversee an investigation into what went wrong and why — in part to be sure the country could withstand more storms or attack.

same thing as a cover up........it makes me angry that an entire congress will stand for that.

3. Oh, good. As soon as they find the Plame leaker and
the source for the "bad intel" before the Iraq invasion, they will get right on this, then!

Maybe Bush will even give the FEMA director a medal!

7. I just heard this, too (been out of the loop for a few hours)
A DailyKos poster says the WH's internal polls must be really bad to for Bush to make such a declaration. The whole thing is a sad spectacle, of course.

16. George Bush : PI...
He's just doing it for the shakedowns and the car chases with the wicka-wicka music in the background.

After a time on the mean streets of New Orleans (a shoot out here, a foot chase through the alleys there) he finally finds out that the real culprit is the Mayor and the evil Democratic Governor in a scheme to take the homes of poor people and replace them with warehouse sized puppy killing facilities.

George Bush to the rescue again.
