And, no, I'm not talking about Saddam.

"he drowned his own people"
Edited on Mon Sep-05-05 09:30 PM by SoCalDem

try it on for size, and wear it

He may not have drowned as may as Saddam gassed, but he did it as willingly.

Saddam was fighting a "war" that WE armed him to fight..our proxy war to get even for the hostage takings. We gave him the gas, and we fully expected him to use it..

We even sent Rumsfeld to confer with him after the fact.. Hell, they probably sat around with tubs of popcorn and watched the videos..

What Bush did last week was worse, because unless we are at "war" with Louisiana, they did NOT deserve what his ignorance and la-di-dah attitude did to them

he managed to destroy a major metropolitan city, an international city, killed tens of thousands of people..and ruined families forever..

Hearing that Granny drowned in her attic in her nightgown, and no one came to help her, is not something you ever "get over"..Watching your family pet desperately try to swim after a boat taking you to safety, and knowing it will drown or starve or die from drinking petroleum soup, is not something you ever "move on" from..

TWICE he has been called upon to keep us safe...and TWICE he has struck out.

The first time, he vacationed instead of paying attention to important information that might have prevented so many deaths, IF the attack had even happened...

The second time, he failed to appoint people who were qualified for their jobs, and through his neglect to details, yet again, innocent people died grisly deaths..

Not only did he ignore the warning signs, he reveled in his own glory during and after the catastrophe. While people fought for their lives and those of their families, he was clowning around with a guitar, eating cake, playing golf, and wandering around trying to kill social security and convince old people to buy into his snake oil scheme for drug purchases.

It's no big deal to him though.. His own mother said it best.."they were only poor people anyway" (paraphrased)

Which is worse?.. gassing that takes a few seconds, or dying bit by bit for hour upon hour, day after day of suffering..hearing the helicopters, and knowing that they will not be saving YOU.. Dying of thirst, surrounded by undrinkable water...or from a lack of life-sustaining medicine, or just plain ole drowning..

I guess the Bush family's "pretty minds" cannot be bothered..

He DID drown his own people (whether they voted for him or not) ...
