They probably will.
As you said, the threats are flying, and I'm actually surprised they haven't gone back already.

7. some of them might
but it's going to take some doing to get Anderson Cooper back into the fold. Hell, it's going to take stereotaxic surgery to get Cooper back into the fold.

9. They already did last night
CNN-bot: "Unhappy about the delay in services, Some people seem determined to play the Blame Game"

Cut to Larry King interviewing Poppy n' Bar talking about Dubya's "Strength", "Caring", and ever-popular "Faith"... since when W. gets in trouble apparently he needs his MOMMY and DADDY to set the nation straight about him, an' stuff.

16. Kings'
been kissing Dumbya's butt right along. He never stopped. I couldn't stand watching the apologist any more so I turned him off. He belongs on Faux.

Aaron Brown, Anderson Cooper, Soledad and even Paula still seemed to be pounding on Dumbya and his band of hollow brains. Don't know how long it will last and wish they did it before he got appointed President, but at any rate I hope against hope they will keep going.

I too will send a note to CNN on this.

10. Already happened. Carol Costello on CNN Daybreak this morning...
was shamelessly pimping the administration's line that the relief-and-rescue delays were all the fault of "looters." She aired an interview with one of Bush's Afro-American house-servants -- a former Republican congressional candidate -- to reinforce the point, encouraging him to say anything he wanted (however defamatory), even as she repeatedly cut off and argued with a Boston black activist who actually had some worthwhile points to make.

Anyone who believes New Orleans inspired (or will inspire) the radicalization of American mass media is -- bluntly -- a fool. Editors and reporters are always allowed some slack in their leashes during natural disasters, and this was no exception. But now that seeming "normalcy" has returned, the leashes have been hauled back tight. Remember: American media is controlled by fewer than 10 corporations, and their first interest is the defense of capitalism -- chiefly its restoration to maximum savagery -- the real reason the oligarchy got Bush into the presidency and bought the Republicans control of Congress.

15. I saw the problem last week. The gov't in totally incapable of telling the
truth on anything. Last week there were reporters on the ground when the lies started. Normally there is no way to get the information instantly that they lied. Unfortunately the gov't does a lot and we need to know what they are doing.

It takes hours, days, weeks and years to prove how * and his buddies lie. By then the media is gone. The only way to handle this is not show the government. Shut * off.
