This is tropical depression 16, which could become a tropical storm in the next 24 hours.

Hopefully it will quietly die or at least turn north and head up the east coast. But if not, and it keeps moving west/north west, there is going to be a lot more rain for the gulf coast. Something they really don't need right now. I don't even want to think about the worst case.

1. Uh oh! It's beginning to turn to the west.

Notice how the larger ovals turn westward. This was the TD that had the animation showing another hurricane force NOLA hit (the other day).
